Set within the dense fabric of Kolonaki, this 47sqm apartment is a compact but highly articulated renovation in the heart of Athens. The project introduces a quiet rhythm to the space—an atmosphere of soft enclosure, crafted through a palette of warm wood, earthy terracotta floor tiles, and subdued textiles.
A translucent partition of timber-framed panels defines the boundary between living and sleeping zones, offering flexibility while maintaining a sense of openness. The low, modular sofa anchors the center of the plan, forming a threshold between the functions without interrupting the spatial flow.
Pale oak millwork wraps the kitchen and storage surfaces in continuity, punctuated by marble with muted veining and raw concrete beams that lend a structural honesty. The interplay of smooth and tactile finishes is heightened by natural light, which moves across the textured surfaces throughout the day.
The project evokes a sense of calm through precision and restraint. It embraces the tension between solid and void, warm and cool, open and intimate—resulting in a living space that feels both elemental and composed.
